and Antiquities by William Beaumont -
chronology appears to be confused between James Stanley Bishop of
Ely
and his Uncle James Stanley the Archdeacon of
Chester. I have attempted to correct the
chronology.
- Parish Records -
many are incomplete and/or baptism, marriage,
and burial records are missing.
- There is no index
to the Palatinate of Lancaster: Court of
Common Pleas: Fines Files - Ref. PL/17 (Feet
of Fines) held by the Public Record Office.
All are in Latin. Within these www pages is
my index to these records associated with the
Stanley family in Lancashire. I may have missed
records, so these indexes may not be
complete.
